Accounts Assistant

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations, in our Grimsby office-based finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation, working with various accounting software and financial systems in the motor trade industry including Keyloop.

Responsibilities

• To input supplier invoices and reconcile statements
• To pay suppliers including regular payment run processes
• Reviewing aged creditors
• Raising and processing bank payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Month end accounting tasks
• Managing accounts queries
• Assisting the senior finance team in preparation of monthly management accounts where needed
• To carry out any other duties as may be reasonably expected in accordance with the position

Requirements

• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
• Knowledge of accounts payable processes
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate

This position is fully office based and attendance on-site in Grimsby will be required for all working hours.
